Across the nation homes are piling up on the market because sales have slowed dramatically in the past year. Well folks, what that means is, it is now officially a “Buyer’s Market”. There is in excess of 6 months’ inventory nationally, which is the typical indicator of a marketplace in which the buyer is in control of the transaction. Not only that, but the average marketing time (days on the market) for homes and condos is 121 days, nationally.

Fellow Ugandans in the Diaspora, ever since we migrated to the US, many of us have not been able to build or put up homes for our selves or immediate families due to inability to travel back home and get back here in the US. Some of us have managed to acquire homes back home but sincerely through very difficult situations while many of us have totally failed due to frustration from our dear relatives and friends back home for diverting our hard earned remittances to other purposes. This has resulted into big disagreements among some families and friends.
Now companies like National Housing and Construction Corporation Ltd; Blue Ocean Developers Ltd; Akright Projects Ltd; CBRE,Richard Ellis and Kensington-Africa Ltd. have grouped with some of the leading Housing financing institutions in Uganda, like DFCU, Housing Finance Company and Stanbic to assist qualified Ugandans in the Diaspora in acquiring and if needed managing their homes or projects back home in a modern and well organized environment.
