The Africa Convention 2008 is an incredible networking opportunity amongst all great attendees; Africans, descendants of Africa and all friends of Africa.

africa_convention.jpgIt's a celebration of our great African heritage, feast on African delicacies. The globe will dance to Africa's indigenous music, feast on African recipes, and revel in Africa's art and culture. At the Africa village we will dance to our drum beat, listen to our folk stories, and yes we will talk about politics by the fire side, Obama or Mcain "Yes we can", discuss issues that are important to African women at the Africa Women's Empowerment Symposium, talk about businesses and community at the Africa Business Symposium, showcase our style and culture at the Pan African Couture fashion show. Our Africa Art Exhibition will be themed toward the real image of Africa. The Afro Film festival will tell our real life stories and yes you will mingle with Africa's stars on the red carpet.

The Board of the Ugandan North American Association, UNAA in conjunction with the Orlando 2008 Convention organizing chairman and Orlando 2008 Convention organizing vice chairman have set the Early-bird registration and are officially kicking off the Orlando 2008 registration process today Nov 15 07. This Early-bird discounted rate will last up to Jan 31st 2008.

    Background:

The Early-bird registration of $150 was set after ground work and estimates by a UNAA Board sub committee on the budget was convened. This rate is the lowest in two years and is intended to be a great incentive for members to register early. The board has also included estimates on the registration form for future registration deadlines.

    Where to find the information

The registration form can be downloaded from the official UNAA website at:
www.unaanet. Com. click on "registration" link at the home page. Those who are paying online click here to access the online registration link

    Where to send registrations

Directions on where to send the payments are on the registration form and on the UNAA official website.
     Make payments to:

Ugandan North American Association Mail payments to:

    UNAA Treasurer - Brenda Kalema
    P.O. Box 20167

    Money transfers
Make them in the name of the UNAA Treasurer:

Since this is the lowest rate since the past two conventions I encourage members to treat it as their holiday gift from UNAA and take advantage. This is the lowest it can be.
