Uganda to ban miniskirts? 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Uganda’s ethics and integrity minister Nsaba Buturo has said that miniskirts should be banned as they can cause drivers to lose their concentration and crash. Buturo compared wearing a miniskirt to appearing in the street naked saying “These days you hardly know who is a mother from a daughter, they are all naked.”

Also on Mr Buturo’s list of things threatening the fabric of Ugandan society are “Theft and embezzlement of public funds, sub-standard service delivery, greed, infidelity, prostitution, homosexuality [and] sectarianism…”. Proving that if the minister gets his way there will be no fun to be had in Uganda.

Under the proposed new laws anyone caught wearing a miniskirt would be prosecuted for being dressed indecently. The short skirts may be considered lethal weapons leading to a possible amnesty. Fears have been rased that this ban could spread around the world leading to a lack of morale amongst the male population.

In my opinion, mini skirts are like other clothes, but they should be wared in specific areaa or occations. They should therefore not banned totally but be allowed to be dreased in some occations like night clubs and other related occations.

Miniskirts are not made by mistakes.....we also enjoy seeing our dames in them....very attracting......we should be used to temptations and control them but not run from them.

Well i say that mini skirts are not all that bad, if we can reason out why and in how they are supposed to be put on. In our Ugandan culture, it seems very uncouth to put on mini skirts. however, this kind of thinking is quite dying out and i think it is for the better.

With the modernisation disease, we can do nothing apart from praying. This is common among the youth eapecially the campus going. we have little or absolutely nothing we can do about it. we can only sit and watch. but i think if we have brave men like Nsaba Buturo who can stand up and say sometninh, i think we are developing for the better.
